A technology company that has supported public institutions and transport companies for over 15 years in the digitalization process, developing tailored solutions to improve operational efficiency and service management.
The Challenge
The company aimed to modernize its IT infrastructure by migrating to the cloud, to enhance operational efficiency and ensure greater flexibility. It was also crucial to equip internal teams with the necessary skills to develop and autonomously manage cloud-native solutions, reducing reliance on external vendors.
Objectives
Migrate the IT infrastructure to the cloud, ensuring operational continuity and data security
Train internal staff to develop skills in cloud-native technologies
Optimize the use of IT resources, reducing operational costs
Our Approach
To support the company on its migration path, Hoverture adopted a gradual and customized approach. The first step was migrating the infrastructure to Google Cloud, ensuring secure and continuous access to data. At the same time, custom IAM roles were defined to enable precise and granular control over resource permissions in the cloud.
To further improve efficiency, scheduling policies were implemented on virtual machines (GCE), allowing automated VM startup and shutdown based on real operational needs, directly impacting cost control. A fundamental part of the project was the training of internal personnel, aimed at enabling the tech team to independently develop and manage cloud-native solutions.
The Results
Migrating to the cloud led to a significant reduction in IT operating costs, thanks to the pay-as-you-go model and more efficient resource utilization. The modernized infrastructure also improved the performance of offered services, enhancing security and reliability. Staff training enabled the company to develop and maintain cloud-native solutions in-house, increasing autonomy and innovation capability. Moreover, advanced access management ensured a secure environment, accessible both remotely and on-site, supporting modern work requirements for mobility and flexibility.
